How to Help

We Need Your Help!

We are working very hard to bring the Baltic Avenue experience to you – all of us, from the band members to our good friends at Roadie Rage and everyone else who contributes. For those of you who really enjoy Baltic Avenue’s music and want to help us spread the word about the band, we would love to have your help! We will introduce some actions below that you can take from the comfort of your own home to help us promote Baltic Avenue, but please don’t let this be a definitive list of ideas. If you have a great idea, please leave a comment below, or submit one to us through the comment form below! We want to hear from you!

Unfortunately, there is at least one other band out there called Baltic Avenue, based in Canada. So please make sure you are sharing the correct band with your friends – the jazz/fusion band from Raleigh, NC.

Social Networking

  1. Facebook

Search for the Baltic Avenue page on Facebook and/or the band’s profile and become a fan or friend of the band. Then, post a comment to your wall sharing Baltic Avenue with others on Facebook asking them to do the same.

  2. Twitter

If you are not a member of Twitter, consider joining (it’s free), and then “following” Baltic Avenue. Twitter is similar to Facebook’s status/wall feature. You follow others and others follow you and can read your short status messages and their friends’ messages. As your social network grows, learn how to “retweet” Baltic Avenue’s tweets to your social network. You can also click on the “Retweet” icon next to most posts on our website once you have an account set up. Baltic Avenue will try to follow most everybody who follows them, but we do have to have some standards. One thing you may try is using search.twitter.com to identify hot music-related topics and then jump into an active conversation, letting others know about Baltic Avenue.

  3. Eventful

You can search for “Baltic Avenue” on Eventful.com and add us to your favorites and use Eventful.com to demand that Baltic Avenue play in your city by clicking on the large “Demand” button and following the instructions. The band wants to know where their fans are! You may also want to get the Baltic Avenue tour widget from eventful.com and post it to any websites / blogs that may be under your control.

  4. Digg

Use social bookmarking sites like Digg and Yahoo Buzz! to post stories about us or link to any on our site and then promote the “digging” or voting of those stories by getting your friends registered on those sites, if they aren’t already, and asking them to vote for your articles. Most posts on our site will have a Digg button with a counter next to it. The goal is to make that number really high by having friends who want to help Baltic Avenue register an account with Digg and then vote for those stories. All you need to do is click on those Digg icons, log into your Digg account and watch the number go up. The higher the number, the increased exposure Baltic Avenue will have to the Digg community. You will see a row of links to other social sites below most posts on our site. Feel free to also use those links to help promote Baltic Avenue.

  5. Donate

Baltic Avenue is in the process of collecting donations to cover recording costs for their new album. If you would like to contribute, please click on the donate button below. Thank you!

  6. Reverb Nation

You can use the widgets at reverbnation.com/balt1cavenue to promote Baltic Avenue in various different ways. Notice that the Reverb Nation has a “one” in it instead of an “i”, that’s because we’re “number 1″! Actually, that’s because the other Baltic Avenue took our name on that site first. Also, please note that we do not currently use the Reverb Nation features, like their newsletters or street teams, so try not to use widgets that promote their use. You can certainly help post their mini media player widget to different websites out there to help promote us. Please use their comment feature and leave some nice comments about the band on their site, and become a fan.

  7. MySpace

Baltic Avenue does have a MySpace account (myspace.com/balticavenuetunes), so if that’s your thing, please do your thing.

  8. Good Old-Fashioned Email

One obvious way you can help is by constructing an email and sending it to your friend(s) and pointing them to this website: balticavenue.net.

  9. Word of Mouth

Let us not underestimate the importance of telling other directly by word of mouth! All throughout history, word of mouth has been an extremely effective means of communication. You can communicate a lot in an intimate conversational setting with someone based on not only your words, but your body language. So, if you are as excited about Baltic Avenue’s music as Rob and Corey from Roadie Rage are, then don’t let anyone stop you from speaking out about it!

As we increase our presence on the web, we will continue to add to this list and we appreciate any help you are able to give. If this is all too complicated for you and you would like to make a financial donation or contribute in some other way, please contact us:

If you have any additional ideas to help us market Baltic Avenue that you do not see listed above that you feel should be there, please leave a comment on this page. Hopefully the insights we gather here to effectively spread the news about Baltic Avenue to others can benefit other up-and-coming bands as well!

Thanks, from all of us at Baltic Avenue and Roadie Rage!
